Build an SMS cost comparison
Define what you are comparing
Decide whether you are comparing the extra cost of this month’s messaging work or the total cost including the phone line. Use the same scope for both options.
Fill in this table
| Item | Current method | Proposed method |
|---|---|---|
| Service subscription | Actual fee | Current quoted fee |
| Extra phone lines needed for work | Actual cost | Any additional line needed? |
| Message usage by type | Separate SMS, LMS and MMS | Compare the same types |
| Add-ons | Those actually used | Only those you need |
| Failed requests and retries | Actual billing records | Check billing rules |
What your plan allows is not the same as what you actually sent. Compare the counts you really used.
Calculation example
Suppose hypothetical monthly costs are 40,000 KRW for method A and 32,000 KRW for method B. The difference is 8,000 KRW. If both totals cover the same scope, savings are 8,000 ÷ 40,000 × 100 = 20%.
These figures explain the calculation; they are not Textory prices or customer results. You cannot apply the same percentage calculation when the current cost is zero or the options include different features.
Compare more than price
Check carrier conditions, required sending time and how you review results. A cheaper option must still support the way your work needs to send messages.
