Repair-shop messaging: intake, approval and collection

Illustrative workflow. The situations and messages below are fictional examples, not customer testimonials or measured results.

Identify the person and vehicle

One customer may bring several vehicles, and the driver may differ from the payer. Confirm the receiving number and record only the vehicle identifiers needed for the work.

Track verified status

Separate inquiry, inspection, awaiting customer decision and ready for collection. A stored vehicle number does not automatically update mileage, service history or repair completion.

Ask before additional work

A fictional example: We found an item requiring further discussion. We will explain the work and cost before confirming whether to proceed. Successful delivery is not customer approval.

Confirm completion first

Send a collection notice only after the responsible person confirms the work and vehicle readiness. Add parts checks or return visits to the schedule, and verify any reserved message separately. Avoid automatically invented service intervals or safety judgments.
